LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – African-American artists with roots in East Texas will be the focus of a new art exhibit at Angelina College's Center for the Arts Gallery.

In honor of black history month, the exhibit showcases work from three noted artists including Karen Christopher and Blake Bean.

Bean is donating three of his pieces to Angelina College's permanent collection. The exhibit runs through February 24th.

The public is invited to check out the art tonight from 6-7:30 P.M. during a reception in the gallery.
