2/2/10 Lufkin Police report

Burglary/Vehicle, 1800 Block West Frank Avenue: Between the hours of 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 and 3:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, a vehicle was burglarized while parked in the employee parking area of a business located in the 1800 block of West Frank Avenue.  According to the report, the vehicle's passenger side front window was broken and a radio was removed from the vehicle's dash.

 

Theft, 4600 South Block Medford Drive:  At approximately 11:20 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, a known male suspect left a restaurant, located in the 4600 block of South Medford Drive, without making payment for the drinks he ordered.  According to the report, the suspect ordered a total of twenty-nine (29) drinks for him and others but left the restaurant without paying the $99.00 bill.  The report stated that the persons for whom the suspect had ordered the drinks provided responding Lufkin Police Department Officers with the suspect's identifying and contact information.

 

Burglary/Vehicle, 1700 Block West Frank Avenue: Between the hours of 6:00 P.M. and 10:30 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, a vehicle was burglarized while parked in the employee parking area of a business located in the 1700 block of West Frank Avenue.  According to the report, the vehicle's passenger side window was broken, causing damage to the vehicle's exterior, and two speakers, a car audio amplifier, a billiards cue, a GPS unit, and a wallet were among the items removed from the vehicle.  The report stated that the wallet stolen contained three social security cards, two debit cards, two checkbooks, and a driver's license.

 

Burglary, 700 Block South Second Street: Between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 8:30 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, a vehicle was burglarized while parked in the 700 block of South Second Street.  According to the report, the vehicle's doors were not locked and $400, a driver's license, and identification card, jewelry, and medication were among the items removed from the vehicle.

 

Theft, 400 Block North Timberland Drive: At approximately 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, a purse was lost or stolen at/from a grocery store located in the 400 block of North Timberland Drive.  According to the report, the complainant last observed her purse in the child seat area of her shopping cart as a grocery store employee pushed the cart to the complainant's vehicle.  The report stated that the complainant drove away from the store but a short time later she return to the grocery store to look for her purse.  The report stated that the purse, which reportedly contained a large sum of cash, was not located.

 

 

Assault, 4000 Block South Medford Drive: At approximately 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, a female complainant was assaulted while outside of a physician's office located in the 4000 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, the female complainant and her boyfriend met outside of the physician's office with the father of her child to allow the father to visit the child.  The report stated that the boyfriend's presence angered the father of the child and the father of the child slapped the female complainant, but no visible injuries were observed on the female complainant.

 

Burglary, 700 Block Southwood Drive: Between the hours of 4:00 P.M. and 4:20 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, property was removed from a vehicle while the vehicle was parked at a carwash located in the 700 block of Southwood Drive.  According to the report, the complainant left the vehicle at the carwash while he walked to a nearby store but he did not lock the vehicle's doors.  The report stated that the complainant returned to the vehicle and found that a Sony PlayStation 3 gaming system, a laptop computer, and a car radio had been removed from the vehicle.
