2/4/10 Lufkin Police report

 

Burglary, 1300 Block Abney Avenue: Between the hours of 1:00 A.M. and 2:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, the office of a business located in the 1300 block of Abney Avenue was burglarized.  According to the report, the office door and its frame were damaged when the door was forced open.  The report stated that video of the incident will be recovered from the business' security video camera system.

 

Disturbance/Domestic, 800 Block Williams Street: At approximately 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, cash was reportedly stolen from a victim's purse at the victim's residence, located in the 800 block of Williams Street.  According to the report, the victim believes that her sister took $100.00 from the purse but the sister denied having taken the money.

 

Robbery, Westmoreland Street at Henderson Street: At approximately 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, a bicycle was stolen from a juvenile victim as she rode the bicycle in the area of Westmoreland Street and Henderson Street.  According to the report, the suspect, a male juvenile, approached the victim, demanded her bicycle, and forced her off of the bicycle when she refused to release it to him.  The report stated that the victim felt pain from being pushed off of the bicycle but there was no visible injury, and that the suspect rode away on the bicycle.  The report stated that the victim did not know the suspect but she provided a description of him to the responding Lufkin Police Department Officers.

 

Fraud, 1000 Block Ross Avenue: At approximately 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, the complainant reported that his daughter's social security number had been fraudulently used.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he attempted to file an income tax return, claiming his seventeen-year-old daughter as a dependant, but was informed by the Internal Revenue Service that his daughter's social security number had been used in connection with another income tax return filing.

    A female juvenile who has been missing from Shreveport, LA since Dec.19, 2016, turned herself into the Shelby County Sheriff's Office Saturday morning.  According to Shelby County Sheriff Willis Blackwell, around 10:47 a.m. Natalyia Theresa Rogers entered the SCSO and spoke with Deputy Peter Davis. Rogers told Davis that she had been staying in Center with Samantha Nix. Rogers said that she turned herself in because she was in need of medications and was starting to harm herse...
