2/5/10 Lufkin Police report

Robbery/Aggravated, 900 Block South Medford Drive: At approximately 2:30 A.M. on Friday, February 5, 2010, four male subjects were arrested for committing Aggravated Robbery of a convenient store located in the 900 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, the subjects, while wearing ski masks and pointing a pistol at a store employee, removed money from the store's cash register and fled the area.  The report stated that a Lufkin Police Department Officer stopped the subjects' vehicle near the store and that the subjects matched the descriptions provided by the store employee and were found in possession of cash and a pistol and ski masks that also matched the descriptions provided by the store employee.  The four subjects were arrested and booked into the Angelina County Jail.

 

Robbery/Aggravated, 3000 Block South First Street: At approximately midnight on Friday, February 5, 2010, four male subjects attempted to commit Aggravated Robbery of an individual in the parking lot of an apartment complex located in the 3000 block of South First Street.  According to the report, the victim was seated in his vehicle when four male subjects in another vehicle approached him and asked him for drugs.  The report stated that the victim told the subjects that he did not know what they were talking about and that the subjects then pointed a pistol at him and asked him if he had ever been robbed.  The report stated that the victim fled the area by vehicle and that the suspects followed him until they reached the 100 block of North Medford Drive.  According to the report, the subjects were not located at that time but the descriptions provided by the victim of the vehicle, subjects, and pistol matched the subjects, vehicle, and pistol involved in the Aggravated Robbery of a convenient store located in the 900 block of South Medford Drive that occurred approximately two hours later.

 

Assault, 900 Block South Chestnut Street: At approximately 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, a known female suspect assaulted a female victim outside of a business located in the 900 block of South Chestnut Drive.  According to the report, the victim and suspect are friends and the assault occurred after the victim refused to ride in the suspect's vehicle due to the suspect's intoxicated state.  The report stated that the victim's injuries included a scratch to her nose, a bump to her forehead, and the bite to her hand.

 

Burglary,400 Block McHale Street: At approximately 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, a juvenile male suspect burglarized a residence located in the 400 block of McHale Street.  According to the report, the juvenile suspect and another male, juvenile subject arrived at the residence to visit a friend but, when they found that the friend was not home and the residence was unoccupied, the juvenile suspect moved his bicycle to the rear of the residence and entered the residence through an unlocked door.  The report stated that the second juvenile subject refused to participate in the burglary and walked to the roadway to wait for the residents to return.  The report stated that the juvenile suspect was inside of the residence for approximately five minutes prior to the residents returning home and that the juvenile suspect fled the area by bicycle when he was discovered inside of the residence.  The report stated that nothing was missing from the residence but when the juvenile suspect was located he was carrying in his backpack items described in the report as burglary tools.

 

Assault, 300 Block Linden Street: At approximately 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, a female complainant reported that she was assaulted at her residence, located in the 300 block of Linden Street, by a known female suspect.  According to the report, the victim reported that the suspect punched and kicked her but the suspect stated that she and the victim had a verbal-only argument.  The report stated that no visible injuries were observed on the victim.

 

Theft, 600 Block Lufkin Avenue: At approximately 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, a female complainant reported that her wallet was stolen from a government office located in the 600 block of Lufkin Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant placed her wallet on a counter top within the building and then walked away from the wallet and area for approximately three minutes.  The report stated that the complainant returned to the area and could not find the wallet, and that employees working in the building stated that they never observed the wallet on the counter top.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the wallet contained her and her husband's driver's licenses, social security cards for her, her husband, and her four children, a Lonestar card, and a WIC card.

 

Theft, 900 Block Hosea Dolphus Sr. Avenue: At approximately 12:30 A.M. on Thursday, February 4, 2010, a wallet was stolen from a residence located in the 900 block of Hosea Dolphus Sr. Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he allowed a known female suspect to enter his residence and use his bathroom but later discovered that his wallet was missing from the pocket of a pair of pants that he had left on the floor of the residence.  The report stated that the complainant filed the report approximately ten hours after the report theft had occurred and that the female suspect denied having taken the wallet.
