2/9/10 Lufkin Police report

Theft, 900 Block Crooked Creek Drive: At approximately 4:30 P.M. on Monday, February 8, 2010, a mobile telephone was stolen from an apartment located in the 900 block of Crooked Creek Drive.  According to the report, the female victim stated that a male subject selling magazine subscriptions appeared at her apartment and that she believes that the subject took her mobile telephone while he was inside of her apartment speaking with her.  The report stated that the victim remembered her daughter playing with the mobile telephone while the subject was inside of the residence and, although she did not see him take it, thinks that the male subject took the telephone from the child.  The report also stated that the victim said she believes that the magazine company was a scam but she did not wish to file a report concerning her suspicions.

 

Abduction/Assault, 1500 Block Lotus Lane: Between the hours of 12:30 P.M. and 1:15 P.M. on Monday, February 8, 2010, a known male suspect reportedly abducted and assaulted his girlfriend.  According to the report, the suspect confronted the victim in the 1500 block of Lotus Lane and, in addition to chocking her and striking her head with his fist, held her in her vehicle as he drove them from Lotus Lane to Hudson.  The report stated that while the victim was speaking by telephone with a Lufkin Police Department Officer, the suspect took the victim's mobile telephone and ended the call.  The report stated that the victim was able recover her mobile telephone and then exit the vehicle in Hudson, where she was picked up by Lufkin Police Department Officers.  According to the report, the victim had a bump on her head and small scratches and slight bruising to her neck.
