2/10/10 Lufkin Police report

Theft, 4500 Block South Medford Drive: At approximately 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, a wallet was reportedly stolen while the complainant shopped in a store located in 4500 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that while shopping in the store she realized that her wallet was missing from the pocket of the hooded sweatshirt she was wearing and she believes her wallet was stolen.  The report stated that store employees helped the complainant search through the store but they did not locate the wallet, which contained the complainant's WIC card, three social security cards, a debit card, and $14.00.  The report stated that employees reported that three female subjects were shopping in the store at the time the complainant reported her wallet missing and that the employees suspected that if the wallet was stolen the female subjects could have been involved.

 

Theft, 1100 Block East Denman Avenue: At approximately 5:30 P.M. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, a mobile telephone was stolen from the cash register counter of a convenient store located in the 1100 block of East Denman Avenue.  According to the report, the victim, an employee of the store, left her mobile telephone on the counter near where she was working and when she turned away to retrieve a postage stamp for the suspect, the suspect reached across the counter and took the telephone.  The report stated that the suspect's actions were captured by the store's security video camera system and described the suspect as a black female wearing blue-in-color "scrubs with cats of the shirt".

 

Assault, 700 Block Ricks Road: Between the hours of 8:00 P.M. and 11:30 P.M. on Sunday, February 7, 2010, a known male suspect assaulted his girlfriend at their shared residence, located in the 700 Block of Ricks Road.  According to the report, the suspect struck the victim's face and hand with a beer bottle.  The report stated that redness was visible under the victim's eye and her hand appeared to be swollen, but the victim did not provide an explanation for her having waited until the morning of Tuesday, February 9, 2010 to report the incident.

 

Burglary/Building, 1200 Block Raguet Street: Between the hours of 5:00 P.M. on Monday, February 8, 2010 and 7:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, an automotive repair business building, located in the 1200 block of North Raguet Street, was burglarized.  According to the report, the actor(s) forced entry into the business by damaging a wall and, at the time the report was filed, a vehicle carburetor was the only item noted to be missing.  The report stated that the business owner identified a possible suspect.

 

Theft, 500 Block South Timberland Drive: At approximately 5:15 P.M. on Monday, February 8, 2010, a mobile telephone was stolen from the cash register counter of a restaurant located in the 500 block of South Timberland Drive.  According to the report, the complainant placed her mobile telephone on the cash register counter while paying for her purchase and then left the telephone on the counter when she exited the restaurant.  The report stated that a short time later the complainant realized that her telephone was missing and the location at which she had left it so she contacted the restaurant but was informed that the telephone was no longer on the counter and that it had not been turned over to the restaurant's staff.

 

Burglary/Vehicle, 400 Block Locke Alley: Between the hours of 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 7, 2010 and 10:00 A.M. on Monday, February 8, 2010, a vehicle was burglarized while parked outside of the vehicle owner's residence, located in the 400 block of Locke Alley.  According to the report, the vehicle was left with its doors unlocked while parked overnight in the driveway of the owner's residence and an unknown actor entered the vehicle and removed the vehicle owner's purse.  The report stated that the purse contained identification cards and approximately $150.00.

 

Theft, 4500 Block of South Medford Drive: At approximately 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 7, 2010, three female suspects were reportedly involved in the theft of four pairs of shoes from a business located in the 4500 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, employees recognized and identified two of the three female suspects and provided a description and license plate of the suspects' vehicle.  The report stated that at least one of the suspects walked out of the store while wearing stolen shoes, and that the suspects ran from the business to a vehicle when employees confronted them about the theft.
