2/11/10 Lufkin Police report

Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle,                                                                  600 Block Grove Avenue: At approximately 1:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 11, 2010, a vehicle was stolen from the roadway outside of a residence located in the 600 block of Gove Avenue.  According to the report, the vehicle's owner parked the vehicle in the roadway outside of a friend's house but left the vehicle's key in its ignition and the vehicle's doors unlocked.  The report stated that a bicycle was found in the spot on the roadway where the vehicle had been parked.  The report described the stolen vehicle as a black-in-color Honda displaying Texas license plate FMR961.

 

Burglary/Building, 900 Block North Timberland Drive: Between the hours of 11:30 P.M. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 and 1:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, an unidentified male subject burglarized a business located in the 900 block of North Timberland Drive.  According to the report, the business's security video camera system captured the suspect's actions as he gained entry into the business' building by breaking a window at the rear of the building and removed from the building two, stand-mounted work lamps and assorted hand tools.

 

Criminal Mischief, 900 Block Abney Avenue: At approximately 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that her landlord had informed her that the door to her apartment, located in the 900 block of Abney Avenue, had been "kicked in".  According to the report, the complainant was away from her residence and could not verify the damage but, when Lufkin Police Department Officers responded to the residence, all the residence's doors were found to be secure and undamaged.

 

Forgery/Counterfeiting,  100 Block Champions Drive: Between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, an unidentified male suspect passed a counterfeit $100 bill at a convenient store located in the 100 block of Champions Drive.  The report stated that the store's security video camera system captured the suspect's actions and the store employees provided a description of the suspect and the suspect's vehicle.

Criminal Mischief, 1900 Block Keltys Street: Between the hours of 10:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 and 5:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, an unidentified driver drove their vehicle into a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of Keltys Street.  According to the report, automotive parts and other items of evidence were observed at the scene and those items led to the discovery of a possible suspect vehicle.

Burglary/Vehicle, 400 Block East Kerr Avenue: Between the hours of 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 and 6:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 10, 2010, four vehicles were burglarized while parked in the 400 block of East Kerr Avenue.  According to the report, a Chevrolet truck, two Honda vehicles, and a Ford van were each parked, with their doors unlocked, outside of their owners' residences when an unidentified actor(s) entered the vehicles and removed car stereo speakers, barber equipment, and in-dash car radios.
