LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – A rivalry that runs deep between Central and Hudson will run even deeper on Friday night. Girl's basketball between the Lady Hornets and Lady Bulldogs will take place tomorrow night on a neutral floor at Panther gym in Lufkin.

Hudson Lady Hornets are 23-8, and the Central Lady Bulldogs are 23-7. The loser will play Tatum at Tenaha after the Diboll Ladyjacks play against Spring Hill.
"I actually like the matchup I think it's a good matchup with the guards because we have quick guards they have quick guards they have shooters we have some that can really take it to the hole it's been even both times we played them we lost by seven we won by eight it's going to be a close matchup and the guard play is pretty equal their, Central Coach Kristen Belshaw said.
Both teams will enter the playoffs with 20-plus wins and will look to represent East Texas in round ball to the fullest tipoff is set for 6pm.
