2/13/10 Lufkin Police Report

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) –  Theft, 800 block of Timberland:  Woman reported she was approached by a man who asked to borrow her cell phone, and after she let him borrow it, he got into a vehicle and left with her phone.   

Criminal mischief, 1800 block of Sayers:  Woman reported that someone had scratched the trunk of her car parked in front of her apartment.      

Theft/b, 4500 block of South Medford:  Woman reported that while shopping for shoes, she set her wallet down on the floor and stepped away briefly and when she returned, her wallet was gone.   

Fraud, 200 block of South Second:  Woman reported that she has a joint bank account with her brother, who is in prison, and she recently discovered several withdraws to their account had been made in her brothers name.

Burglary/habitation, 900 block of Crooked Creek Drive:  Man reported when he returned to his apartment, he found his door was ajar, and television missing from the apartment.

Theft, 1800 block of East Denman:  Woman reported that guests at her apartment had stolen her prescription medication.

Fraud, 600 block of Markus Street:  Man reported he believes he gave out his credit card information in a phone scam promising to lower the interest rates on his credit cards.
