Search Helicopter Crashes, Killing Two

An update on the crash of a search helicopter in San Augustine County. Authorities have now confirmed two people died and three were injured while searching for Columbia shuttle debris.

The chopper was one of seven involved in the search. A spokesman with the San Augustine County Sheriff's Department says they have secured the area and are not allowing media access at this time.

The helicopter is about one mile deep in a densely wooded area. He says the road leading to the scene is very rough, with water knee-deep in some places. Authorities say the weather was fine and they don't know yet what may have caused the chopper to go down.
