MIDLAND, TX (KTRE) - The West Texas Roughnecks, an Indoor Football League team, has released former Lufkin Panther Quentin Holman.
Holman was part of the two-day waiver tryouts that took place at training camp.
Holman's release is the latest headline since the wide receiver played with the 2002 state championship team. He was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery in 2007 after he and another man robbed two women as they were leaving a Lufkin convenience store.
The Roughnecks have signed several East Texas football players to its roster, including Alton Dixon, McKinner Dixon, Jorvoskie Lane, Terrence Parks and Cortney Tillman.
