The Diner's Chicken Fried Burger

Ingredients:

4 ounce hamburger

Fresh cut yellow onion rings

Fresh sliced green tomatoes

4 dill pickle chips

2 pieces of bacon cooked 2/3rds done

Batter and Flour:

2 cups of Buttermilk

2 cups of flour

1 tsp of salt mixed in flour

1 tsp of pepper mixed in flour

1 tsp of seasoned salt mixed in flour

2 cups of crushed crackers

1. Take hamburger patty and press into seasoned flour carefully. Lift out, place into buttermilk, place back into flour and fully coat meat with flour.

2. Place hamburger patty into 350 degree oil and cook for approximately 4 minutes or until an internal temperature of 165 is reached.

3. Remove hamburger to drain.

4. Take 4 onion rings, 4 pickles, and 2 pieces of bacon and dredge in seasoned flour to coat, place into buttermilk and coat, then back into the seasoned flour and toss until fully coated.

5. Place these items into the 350 degree oil for approximately 4 minutes.

6. While the onions, pickles and bacon are cooking dredge green tomatoes in seasoned flour, then into buttermilk, then coat with crushed crackers.

7. Place tomatoes into the 350 degree oil for approximately 4 minutes.

After the tomatoes are done, assemble the burger and enjoy with all of your favorite condiments. Don't forget the cream gravy.
