3/1/10 Lufkin Police report

Criminal Mischief,  2400 Block West Frank Avenue: At approximately 1:00 A.M. on Monday, March 01, 2010, a female complainant reports that a known female suspect used a permanent marker to write offense words on the windows of a complainant's apartment and vehicle in the 2400 block of West Frank Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect is angry with her over the complainant dating the suspect's ex-boyfriend.  The report stated that a Lufkin Police Department Officer issued to the suspect a Criminal Trespass Warning form notifying her that her return to the victim's residence is prohibited.

 

Theft, 2300 Block Greer Avenue:  At approximately 12:10 A.M. on Monday, March 01, 2010, two unidentified male suspects were observed stealing a weight bench from a residence located in the 2300 block of Greer Avenue.  According to the report, the victims stated that they observed a heavy set black, male suspect and a thin black, male suspect use a newer model, red-in-color Dodge Durango vehicle with tinted windows to steal a weight bench from the property.

 

Weapons/Firearms Violation, 500 Block Lazy Oaks Street: At approximately 8:30 P.M. on Sunday, February 28, 2010, a third party caller's report that a known male suspect pointed a firearm at a female subject led to an arrest and two separate firearms-related reports.  According to the report, during their investigation into a reported firearms-related incident at an apartment in the 500 block of Lazy Oaks Street, Lufkin Police Department Officers arrested Willie Settler (26) for an outstanding Probation Revocation warrant and recovered a pistol from inside of an apartment.  The report stated that the initial investigation led to the reporting of a second incident involving a suspect pointing a firearm at other subjects in the area of Golf Course Road; this second incident was reported to Angelina County Sheriff's Office Deputies.

 

Assault/Aggravated,   3500 Block North John Redditt Drive: At approximately 8:30 P.M. on Sunday, February 28, 2010, a known male suspect reportedly pointed a knife at a female in an apartment complex laundry room located in the 3500 block of North John Redditt Drive.  According to the report, the suspect threatened to cut the victim's vehicle tires and then slapped the victim's face twice prior to fleeing the area.

 

Disturbance/Domestic, 700 Block Joyce Lane: At approximately 8:15 P.M. on Sunday, February 28, 2010, four known suspects reportedly used a baseball bat to assault three victims outside of a residence located in the 700 block of Joyce Lane.  According to the report, the suspects attacked the victims as the victims exited a vehicle and made their way into the residence.  The report stated that the suspects used the bat to strike one victim's head and that paramedics treated the victim at the scene.

 

 

Burglary/Habitation, 100 Block Shady Bend Drive: At approximately 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, February 28, 2010, witnesses reported that a black male suspect entered an apartment locate in the 100 block of Shady Bend Drive and removed property from the apartment.  According to the report, the witnesses report to Lufkin Police Department led to the recovery of the property stolen from the apartment and to the arrest of two subjects, Jacoby Edwards (19) and Maurice Edwards Jr. (22), for outstanding traffic warrants.

 

Theft, 2200 Block Nile Street: At approximately 8:30 on Sunday, February 28, 2010, a known male suspect reportedly took mail from a complainant's mailbox located in the 2200 block of Nile Street.
