Nacogdoches courts holding warrant roundup this weekend

Nacogdoches, TX (PRESS RELEASE) - Nacogdoches County and City authorities, along with courts across Texas, will participate in the Great Texas Warrant Roundup that is scheduled to begin this Saturday.

Nacogdoches Municipal Court, County Court and Justice of the Peace Courts will participate in the Round up, with officers from the Nacogdoches Police and Sheriff's Departments, Constable Offices and the Texas Highway Patrol serving outstanding warrants.

Affected persons who have outstanding warrants are urged to contact the appropriate jurisdiction this week to dispose of their cases voluntarily to avoid the inconvenience and embarrassment of arrest at home or at work, in front of family, friends or co-workers.

The Nacogdoches Municipal Court will be open special hours this Saturday, March 6, from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm.  "No arrests at the court will be made if persons with warrants voluntarily come in and pay", said Juanita Springer, Nacogdoches Municipal Court Judge.

Persons with outstanding warrants should contact the proper court as soon as possible.

The warrant round up will continue throughout the month of March.
