3/4/10 Lufkin Police report

Assault, 400 Block Charlton Street: At approximately 6:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, a known male suspect reportedly assaulted a female complainant in the 400 block of Charlton Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect pushed and punched her but a witness to the incident indicated that the suspect and complainant were mutual combatants and that the altercation involved pushing but no hitting.  The report stated that the suspect fled the area prior to the arrival of Lufkin Police Department Officers and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Assault, 800 Block Jefferson Avenue: At approximately 4:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, a known male suspect reportedly assaulted female complainant in the 800 block of Jefferson Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the father of her child punched her face twice but no visible injuries were observed by the responding Lufkin Police Department Officers.  The report stated that the suspect fled the area prior to the arrival of Officers and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Burglary, 1000 Block Ann Street: Between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, unknown actors burglarized a residence located in the 1000 Block of Ann Street.  According to the report, the actors forced entry into the residence by breaking a window and that a television, laptop computer, and watches were removed from the residence.  The report stated that while inside of the residence the actors consumed a bottle of tequila.  The report stated that evidence was collected at the scene and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Theft, 900 Block Ellis Avenue: At approximately 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, a complainant reported that an unknown actor had removed parts from the air conditioning unit located outside of his business.  According to the report, a recently terminated employee was listed as a possible suspect and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Assault, 2400 Block East Denman Avenue: At approximately 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at a business located in the 2400 block of East Denman Avenue, a male suspect reportedly held and kissed a two-year-old female victim.  According to the report, the child's mother was washing clothes at the business, the child ran to the area near the suspect, and the mother immediately moved to retrieve the child but found the suspect holding the child's face and kissing her on her lips.  The reported stated that the mother took her child, exited the business, and reported the incident to Lufkin Police Department Officers and the owners of the business.  According to the report, the child was not injured, the suspect was identified and transported from the scene, and the incident was referred for further investigation.
