3/10/10 Nacogdoches Police report

Identity theft; 1000 block of shepherd. Complainant reported the unauthorized use of a social security number.

 

Assault; 1900 block of banita street. Complainant reported that a known suspect struck the complainant with a flashlight during a disturbance.

 

Burglary of a vehicle-theft of a firearm; 1800 block of heather street. Complainant reported that unknown persons entered a parked vehicle and removed a shotgun.

 

Credit card abuse; 4700 block of north university drive. Complainant reported that unknown persons had made unauthorized charges on a credit card.

 

Theft; 3200 block of north pecan. Complainant reported the theft of a chainsaw from a carport.

 

Burglary of a habitation; 500 block of mockingbird. Complainant reported that unknown suspects had entered a residence and removed some jewelry, an amount of cash, and some paintings.

 

Burglary of a vehicle; 1300 block of ritchie street. Complainant reported that a cell phone was taken from inside a vehicle.

 

Possession of marijuana; 1900 block of douglass road. Officers stopped the suspect on traffic charges. Officer observed the suspect attempting to hide a baggie of suspected marijuana. James williams was arrested.

 

Harassment; 2000 block of pruitt hill. Complainant reports that a known suspect continues to call on the phone after being told not to do so. Warrant requested.

 

Assault-evading arrest; 100 block of mitchell street. Complainant had assaulted a female during an argument. When officers arrived, the suspect fled on foot. Officers gave chase but lost the suspect. A warrant has been requested.

    Temporarily calling the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter a home, Remi is hoping to find something a little more permanent. Caretakers said the one-year-old dog is playful and loves attention. Remi was brought into the shelter as a stray about three weeks ago. "He gets along with the other dogs.
