NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches County probation officer has been charged with official oppression after he admitted to sexually harassing a probationer under his supervision.

Texas Ranger Tom Davis confirmed Thursday that he had investigated the complaint and handed the evidence over to the Nacogdoches County Attorney's Office. Friday, the probable cause affidavit was signed.

According to the affidavit, Kevin Riddley, 39, told the victim "that if they could meet and have some fun that he could make things go easier for her." Riddley denied saying that, but did admit to meeting a female under his supervision and having sexual intercourse with her on two occasions.

Riddley is charged with official oppression, a misdemeanor. He bonded out of jail at $2,500.

An official with the county human resources department said Riddley was no longer employed with the department.
