LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – Lufkin fire fighters battled a blaze that destroyed a home at 1901 Kelty's Street Saturday afternoon.

According to the Assistant Fire Marshal of the Lufkin Fire Department, Steve Mccool, three people were currently living in the home. Two were home at the time of the fire which was called in around 12:30 this afternoon. Both people got out with out injuries.

Mccool says the house is probably a total loss from the fire. It took about ten minutes once fire fighters responded to get the fire contained. Four stations responded to the call and the fire's cause is currently under investigation by the Lufkin Fire Marshal's office.
