3/8/10 Lufkin Police report

Unauthorized Use of Vehicle, 3100 Block Paul Avenue: Between the hours of 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010 and 4:15 A.M. on Monday, March 8, 2010, a known juvenile, male suspect operated a vehicle without authorization of the vehicle's owner.  According to the report, the vehicle was taken from the owner's driveway, located in the 3100 block of Paul Avenue, where the vehicle had been parked with its key in its ignition switch.  The report stated that Lufkin Police Department Officers recovered the vehicle and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Burglary, 1000 Block Shady Pine Drive: Between the hours of 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010 and 4:15 A.M. on Monday, March 8, 2010, an unidentified actor burglarized a residence located in the 1000 block of Shady Pine Drive.  According to the report, Lufkin Police Department Officers recovered property removed from the residence and identified a possible suspect, a juvenile male, and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Theft, 2200 Block East Denman Avenue: At approximately 10:30 P.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, an unidentified male suspect removed a bottle of wine from a business located in the 2100 block of East Denman Avenue.  According to the report, the suspect fled the area in a red-in-color Honda SUV, and store security video cameras captured the suspect's actions and the license plate of the suspect vehicle.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Assault, 300 Block Hickory Hill Drive: At approximately 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, a known male suspect assaulted a female victim at their shared residence located in the 300 block of Hickory Hill Drive.  According to the report, the male suspect slapped the victim's face and then fled the area prior to the arrival of Lufkin Police Department Officers.  The report stated that the victim did not display visible injuries and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Assault, 600 Block Windsor Drive: At approximately 6:30 P.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, a known female suspect assaulted a female victim at Morris Frank Park, located in the 600 block of Windsor Drive.  According to the report, the female suspect slapped the victim's face during an argument.  The report stated that incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Assault, 1800 Block East Denman Avenue: At approximately 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, a known male suspect assaulted a female victim at their shared residence located in the 1800 block of East Denman Avenue.  According to the report, the male suspect hit and kicked the victim and then fled the area prior to the arrival of Lufkin Police Department Officers.  The report stated that the victim's injuries were photographed and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

 

Assault, 900 Block South Third Street: At approximately 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, a known male suspect assaulted a male victim in the 900 block of South Third Street.  According to the report, the male suspect tore the victim's shirt and attempted to hit the victim.  The report stated that the victim left the area of the assault prior to reporting the incident to Lufkin Police Department Officers and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Theft, 900 Block West Frank Avenue: At approximately 12:50 P.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, an unidentified male suspect stole a mobile telephone from the cash register counter of a business located in the 900 block of West Frank Avenue.  According to the report, the complainant left her mobile telephone on the counter and when she returned the telephone was missing.  The report stated that store security video cameras captured the suspect's actions and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Burglary/Habitation, 800 Block Newsom Avenue: At approximately 11:00 A.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, an unidentified male suspect burglarized a residence located in the 800 block of Newsom Avenue.  According to the report, witnesses observed a black, male suspect fleeing the residence in a tan- or gold-in-color older "box-style" vehicle that had a rope holding its trunk lid closed.  The report stated that a laptop computer, PlayStationPortable video game system and games, a digital camera, a purse, and cash were among the items removed from the residence, and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Theft, 300 Block South Chestnut Drive: At approximately 9:30 A.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, an unidentified male suspect and an unidentified female suspect stole a coin purse from a female complainant shopping at a business located in the 300 block of South Chestnut Drive.  According to the report, store security video camera showed that the complainant's coin purse fell from her pocket and that the suspects retrieved the coin purse and exited the store.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Assault, 600 Block Augusta Drive: At approximately 2:30 A.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, a female complainant reported that her ex-boyfriend assaulted her outside of his residence located in the 600 block of Augusta Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect pushed her to the ground and kicked her, while the suspect stated that he escorted the complainant off of his property but did not assault her.  The report stated that both parties reported that the complainant appeared at the suspect's residence, repeatedly rang the door bell, and knocked on the suspect's bedroom window prior to the occurrence of the disputed assault incident.  The report stated that, at the time of the report, the complainant did not display visible injuries and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Robbery, 1100 Block South Timberland Drive: At approximately 1:45 A.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, a known male suspect reportedly robbed a female victim in the 1100 block of South Timberland Drive.  According to the report, the suspect punched the victim's head and face and took her purse but had fled the area prior to the arrival of Lufkin Police Department Officers.  The report stated that the victim's injuries were photographed and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Burglary, 100 Block Champions Drive: At approximately 1:45 A.M. on Sunday, March 7, 2010, a known male suspect reportedly forced entry into a female complainant's residence 100 block of Champions Drive.  According to the report, earlier that date the suspect followed the complainant and a friend to her residence and then returned after the complainant had fallen asleep.  The report stated that the complainant woke to the sound of someone beating on and breaking the entry door to her apartment and that when the complainant went to the door she observed the suspect's vehicle fleeing the parking lot.  The report stated that Lufkin Police Department Officers did not locate the suspect and the incident was referred for further investigation.
