3/10/10 Lufkin Police report

Theft/B                4500 Block South Medford Drive

At approximately 7:30 P.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, four suspects, three male and one female, removed two pairs of shoes from a business located in the 4500 block of South Medford Drive without making payment.  According to the report, the suspects' actions were captured by the store's security video camera system and Lufkin Police Department Officers, having recognized one suspect shown in the video, located the suspects at a residence in the 700 block of Joyce Lane where they recovered one pair of shoes and arrested Toney Roberson (37) of Lufkin for Failure to Identify – Fugitive and an outstanding State Jail Felony Theft warrant.  The report stated that the incident involving theft of the shoes was referred for further investigation.

 

Theft/B                1500 Block West Frank Avenue

At approximately 4:30 P.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, a male suspect took a water heater from outside of a business located in the 1500 block of West Frank Avenue.  According to the report, the suspect was identified and contacted by Lufkin Police Department Officers and stated that the business owner had authorized the removal of the water heater.  The report stated that the business owner denied having authorized the removal and stated that he did not know the suspect.  The report stated that the water heater was later returned to the business.

 

Forgery/Counterfeiting                 400 Block Medford Drive

On Tuesday, March 9, 2010, a deposit at a financial institution made by a known customer reportedly contained a counterfeit $100 bill.  According to the report, the customer stated that she received the counterfeit bill, which was originally a $5 bill reprinted to appear to be a $100 bill, during a withdrawal from another bank.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Assault                 300 Block Homer Street

At approximately 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, a husband reported that his wife assaulted him by pushing him as he exited the residence, and the wife reported that the husband used his fist to strike her face.  According to the report, since the complainants were at different locations when they contacted Lufkin Police Department Officers and neither displayed visible injuries or reported an injury, an Assault report was filed and each complainant was directed to contact the Lufkin City Attorney's office to sign a Complaint.

 

Forgery/Counterfeiting                 1800 Block West Frank Avenue

At approximately 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, March 9. 2010, an unidentified female suspect reportedly passed a counterfeit $100 travelers check at a business located in the 1800 block of West Frank Avenue.  According to the report, the store clerk who accepted the travelers check did not view the suspect's identification and the Arkansas driver's licenses number written on the travelers check by the suspect is not correct.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

    A female juvenile who has been missing from Shreveport, LA since Dec.19, 2016, turned herself into the Shelby County Sheriff's Office Saturday morning.  According to Shelby County Sheriff Willis Blackwell, around 10:47 a.m. Natalyia Theresa Rogers entered the SCSO and spoke with Deputy Peter Davis. Rogers told Davis that she had been staying in Center with Samantha Nix. Rogers said that she turned herself in because she was in need of medications and was starting to harm herse...
