Lufkin man says he was tied up and robbed of $250

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Police are investigating a Lufkin man's claim that he was tied up and robbed at his own house Wednesday afternoon.

According to the report, the man was moving furniture from his residence at the 400 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard when an unidentified suspect knocked him unconscious using an unknown object to strike the back of his neck. The suspect then dragged the complainant's body into another room and used television cable to tie his legs together before removing $250 from his pocket and fleeing.

The report states the complainant said he remained lying on the floor for about 20 minutes until his mother arrived and untied him. He was transported by ambulance to a hospital but suffered no visible injuries.
