7 involved in wreck; Garrison man arrested

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY (KTRE) - A man was arrested on a drunk driving charge following a two-vehicle wreck just south of Garrison early Thursday morning.

According to the DPS report, Matthew Ryan Pike was driving a 2009 Chevy Malibu northbound on U.S. 59 North at 12:23 a.m. when he rear-ended a 2008 Chevy van driven by Lamick Leshun Bryant, of Garrison, forcing it off the roadway and into an embankment. The van landed on its top, with the wheels in the air.

Five other people, Brian Keith Bryant, Christie Bryant, Jonathan Bryant, Cherrell Bryant and a three-year-old child, all of Garrison, were passengers in the van.

Lamick Leshun Bryant, Brian Keith Bryant, Jonathan Bryant, Cherrell Bryant and the child were all treated for non-incapacitating injuries at a Nacogdoches hospital.

Pike, who was not injured, was arrested after he took a breathalyzer test and charged with intoxicated assault.
