LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) -Students are getting creative to let everyone know about the upcoming Census by making posters. Lufkin ISD third graders competed for a brand new bicycle.

One of the winners was Janet Mendoza of Slack Elementary, who got to take home a bike just in time for spring break.

The project is a part of the city's plan to educate kids about the census, to encourage their parents to take part.
