LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – A house at the corner of Keltys and Rowe in Lufkin caught fire shortly before midnight Saturday. Firefighters battled the blaze until approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday. The home was a total loss.
According to Lufkin Assistant Fire Marshall Steve McCool, only one of the five residents were home when the fire started. That resident was not injured. McCool said the man's wife and three children were not home at the time.
McCool said the department is investigating the cause of the fire.
