LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A man is hospitalized after flipping his truck on Kurth Drive, Wednesday night.

Just after 8 p.m., emergency crews worked to remove Jerry Billingsly from his overturned Ford pickup. Oncor Electric crews had to move a live power line from above the truck, before EMS could transport Billingsly to Memorial Health Systems of East Texas.

A witness told police the driver did not have his headlights on at the time of the wreck.

Lufkin Police said Billingsly was conscious when the ambulance arrived. He was last reported in stable condition.

The cause of the single vehicle-accident is unknown at this time.
