TRINITY, TX (KTRE) - The results of a City of Trinity financial audit show $4,090 was missing.
The audit was ordered after Trinity City Manager Phil Patchett attempted suicide and reportedly took money from the city.
It was discovered that only $10 dollars more than Patchett admitted to was missing.
Mandatory nightly deposits of city funds were not being made.
Mayor Lyle Stubbs says the theft was a one-time incident.
No word yet on formal charges for Patchett.
