3/23/10 Lufkin Police report

Fail to Give Information and Render Aid,  1700 Block Pershing Avenue: At approximately 1:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, a motorcycle and its rider reportedly were struck in the 1700 block of Pershing Avenue by a truck whose driver did not stop at the crash scene.  According to the report, the motorcycle rider suffered a laceration to his head and was transported by ambulance to an area hospital but was released after treatment for his injury.  The report stated that Angelina County Sheriff's Office Deputies and Lufkin Police Department Officers located that suspect truck and identified two subjects as possible drivers of the truck during the crash.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

THEFT, 4600 Block South Medford Drive: At approximately 3:00 P.M. on Monday, March 22, 2010, two female, juvenile suspects were detained in a Lufkin Mall store after committing theft at the store.  According to the report, the juvenile suspects confessed to a Lufkin Police Department Officer that they had stolen property from multiple stores located within the Mall.  The report stated that only one of the stores wished to pursue a charge of Theft against the juveniles so the juvenile suspects were each issued a citation for the offense of Theft, Class C Misdemeanor, and released to their parents.

 

Theft, 800 Block Weaver Avenue: At approximately 8:00 A.M. on Monday, March 22, 2010, a known suspect reportedly stole approximately $300.00 from a complainant.  According to the report, the complainant stated that her boyfriend stole the money from her instead of paying a deposit on an apartment that they were to rent.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.
