NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE)- Some people have waited all year and it's time to head out to the Nacogdoches Pro Rodeo and Steer Show.
East Texas junior high and high school students weighed in their steers, as they got ready to show them off in front of the judges.
Organizers say this event is something these students work very hard for.
"We'd love to have everyone come out and help these young people to support them. They spent a lot of time and effort and money feeding these animals, and training them so that they'll show in the ring and present the best steer that they can to the judges," said organizer Hyman Boozer.
Thursday at 11 am, the steer and heifer judging continues.
The actual rodeo begins Thursday evening and continues through Sunday. We'll be live from the rodeo tomorrow at five and six on your East Texas News Leader.
