3/25/10 Lufkin Police report

Criminal mischief                              100 block Broaddus street

At approximately 9:00 p.m. On Wednesday, march 24, 2010, an unidentified actor damaged a window of a residence located in the 100 block of Broadus street. According to the report, the complainant was inside of the residence when the damage occurred and immediately exited the residence to find four juvenile, male subjects standing in the driveway of the residence.  The report stated that responding Lufkin police department officers located and identified the four subjects but none claimed responsibility for causing the damage so the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Criminal mischief                              1300 block fuller springs drive

Between the hours of 6:00 p.m. And 8:45 p.m. On Wednesday, march 24, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) entered a building on the slack elementary campus and caused damage to property.  According to the report, the actor(s) poured fruit juice onto carpet and a door, removed student artwork from walls, overturned benches, and discharged a dry-chemical fire extinguisher.  The report stated that the incident was discovered by members of the school's janitorial staff and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Burglary/habitation                         900 block south first street

Between the hours of 7:30 a.m. And 3:30 p.m. On Wednesday, march 24, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) burglarized a residence located in the 900 block of south first street.  According to the report, the complainant provided a name of a possible suspect and stated that the actor(s) entered the residence through an unlocked window and removed from the residence a rent-to-own laptop computer.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Forgery/counterfeiting                 800 block north timberland drive

On Wednesday, march 24, 2010, a business located in the 800 block of north timberland drive reported to Lufkin police department their discovery that the business had on received counterfeit currency.  According to the report, the counterfeit currency collected as evidence and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Forgery/counterfeiting                 400 block brentwood drive

On Wednesday, march 24, 2010, a business located in the 400 block of Brentwood drive reported to Lufkin police department their discovery that the business had on march 13, 2010 received counterfeit currency.  According to the report, the counterfeit currency was collected as evidence and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Theft                     1500 block Eleanor Street

Between the hours of 9:00 a.m. And 5:00 p.m. On Tuesday, march 23, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) stole an electric, glass-top stove from the front porch area of a residence located in the 1500 block of Eleanor street.  According to the report, the complainant placed the stove outside her residence in preparation for a package delivery service to collect it but the stove was stolen prior to the arrival of the package delivery service.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Fraud                    3000 block south First Street

On Wednesday, March 24, 2010, a complainant reported that a known suspect fraudulent used her identifying information.  According to the report, the complainant's sister, while the complainant was stationed out of state in the United States military, used the complainant's identifying information to obtain telephone service in the Lufkin area.  The report stated that negative entries on the complainant's credit report led to the discovery of the identity theft and that the incident was referred for further investigation.
