LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) –  Lufkin police officers are stepping up patrol on Timberland Dr. following what an undercover officer, who wishes to remain anonymous, said is a cocaine investigation.

Mid-morning Sunday, three patrol cars were parked in front of American Auto Supply, the same business authorities searched and arrested at least two people Wednesday. Officers on the scene Sunday said while checking on the business it appeared someone had stacked tires against the back wall of the building, possibly climbed up them and broke a small window.

Lt. Jerry Smith said it was unclear if someone had actually entered the building, being the window was small.
