POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) –  A Polk County detective arrested another suspected copper thief in late March.

Detective Christopher Lima said Patrick Delaney, 21, of Rye confessed to stealing copper wire from Holly Grove Church in a remote area of Polk County.

Delaney's charged with theft of copper. It's a state felony that carries a maximum 2 year jail sentence.

Authorities said they don't believe Delaney is connected to the multiple copper thefts at a Polk County oil field, but they're looking for suspect Jeffery Washburn, 35, of Cleveland, in connection to that case. A warrant is out for his arrest.
