TxDOT announces railroad maintenance

POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

POLK COUNTY, TX (Press release) - Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) announces maintenance activities for next week on the FM 62 railroad crossing at the Corrigan Camden Mill.

The maintenance work will consist of replacing the existing sub-base, concrete pads and adjusting the tracks to provide for a smoother crossing. M & M Contractors will be performing the work under contract with the railroad company with assistance from TxDOT handling traffic control.

Work on the crossing will begin at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2010. FM 62 will be closed to thru traffic during the day and reopened at the end of the day when the work is completed around 5 p.m. Motorists must use an alternate route during this time.

   As always, TxDOT reminds drivers to use caution when traveling through the construction area, obeying all traffic control devices and watching for workers.
