With the end of the regular season looming two short weeks away, the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners moved two steps closer to locking down a conference tournament berth with a road sweep of Alvin on Monday.

            Playing the games originally scheduled for this past Saturday –those were washed out by an unexpected storm cell – the Lady ‘Runners notched 9-7 and 3-0 wins over the Lady Dolphins.

            The sweep moves AC to 25-15, 10-6 on the season. The Lady Roadrunners will host LSU-Eunice in a non-conference tilt Wednesday at Roadrunner Complex in Lufkin.

            Game 1 is set for a 4 p.m. start.
