NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches County law officers say two of the largest distributors of meth in East Texas are behind bars after they seized 196 grams of the drug while serving a warrant Monday afternoon.
According to Nacogdoches County Constable Pct. 4 Jason Bridges, law enforcement found 190 grams of meth and other drug paraphernalia at the home of James Rowell, 51, and Marilyn Marshall, 47, on County Road 555 in Woden.
This came after they were arrested at Holiday Inn Express on Saturday and law enforcement confiscated six grams of meth and more than $10,000 in the room. Bridges said they did not believe all the drugs were found so they conducted the search at the residence.
Rowell and Marshall were previously out on bond on Sept. 2009 drug charge after authorities say they found them with 260 grams of meth and $11,000 in an Econo Lodge Hotel room.
Bridges said their vehicle was parked at the Holiday Inn Express Saturday and a drug dog alerted authorities to the couple's room.
Both are in jail with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with bond at $1.25 million each.
Bridges said the arrest came after a year-long investigation by his office.
