LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – The City of Lufkin is very close to seeing hundreds of new jobs.
The Lufkin 4B Economic Development Corporation has agreed on an incentive package for two companies considering making Lufkin their new home.
The city council will make a decision on the proposal next week.
Incentives generally tax breaks and other types of motivation.
"We work with workforce solutions and Angelina college to provide specialty training, employee recruitment things like that," said corporation director Jim Wehmeier.
