LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) –The Mosaic Center of Lufkin is gearing up for their fifth annual Crown Colony Tennis Open and dinner.

The featured speaker Thursday night is a 2006 graduate of the Mosaic Center.

Christina Wilcox Johnson is a wife, mother and an example of what the center is about, strengthening women and their families through offering "a hand up, not a hand out."

"To have someone like Christina who embodies that success and that hope because that is what fuels our jets here at the Mosaic Center is seeing women's lives restored," said Donna Busler with the Mosaic Center.  "We know that not everyone will be fully restored, but we know that it is our calling to give them that opportunity."

The dinner and auction is Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, off Denman Avenue.
