POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Six people, including two teenagers, were injured Thursday night in a one-vehicle wreck on FM 350 in Polk County.

According to the Department of Public Safety report, Marlin Sprayberry, 21, of Camden, was driving his Dodge pick-up southbound one mile west of U.S. 59 when he failed to negotiate a turn in a curve. He then crossed into the northbound lane, overcorrected to the right, then again to the left and lost control and flipped his pick-up, around 6 p.m.

Passengers in the pick-up, Francisco Inguanzo, 21, of Corrigan, Lee Gesford, 22, Eli Crawford, 20, of Groveton, Taylor Purvis, 16, and David Kovar, 18, were injured. Sprayberry, Inguanzo and Gesford were taken by helicopter to a Houston hospital and Crawford, Purvis and Kovar were treated for injuries at a Livingston hospital.

Contributing factors for the wreck, according to the report, were unsafe speed and there "may have been drinking."
