ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Huntington woman is being treated at a Lufkin hospital for minor injuries after she hit a tree on a county road outside of Huntington.

Department of Public Safety Trooper Clint Henderson said a lack of tire skid marks on Lindsley Road was evidence Angela Griffin, 32, fell asleep or blacked out before she hit the tree, around 11:15 a.m., about a mile from FM 2109.

Griffin was driving an older model Ford pick-up, filled with an assortment of items, including pieces of wood, gloves, a tricycle, a backpack, a baby doll and a TV dinner stand.

Griffin had lacerations on her left knee and a head injury but was not considered to be seriously injured.
