4/21/10 Lufkin Police report

Assault - 800 Block North Timberland Drive: At approximately 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that an unidentified male suspect assaulted him in the parking lot of a business located in the 800 block of North Timberland Drive.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect, for reasons unknown to the complainant, used his fist to strike the complainant, knocking the complainant's glasses from his face, and then the suspect fled the area in a gold-in-color Buick Century vehicle.  The report did not list any injuries to the complainant and stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Criminal Mischief - 2200 Block South First Street: At approximately 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that her ex-boyfriend damaged her vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the parking lot of the complainant's place of employment, located in the 2200 block of South First Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that the suspect damaged the vehicle's paint by scratching into it an offensive word and then entered the business and informed the complainant of his actions.  The report stated that the suspect, who had fled the area prior to the complainant contacting Lufkin Police Department, refused to speak by telephone with the responding Officer and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Criminal Mischief - 3500 Block South First Street: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) damaged his vehicle while the vehicle was parked in a parking area on the Angelina College campus, located in the 3500 block of South First Street.  According to the report, the complainant stated that he suspects that his estranged spouse was the actor who cut two of the vehicle's tires.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Theft - 400 Block North Timberland Drive: At approximately 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, a complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that an unidentified suspect stole margarita mix from a business located in the 400 block of North Timberland Drive.  According to the report, the complainant, an employee of the business, stated that the suspect attempted to conceal within his clothing two boxes of margarita mix, a bottle of wine, and a cork screw but when she confronted the suspect he fled the store on foot carrying one box of margarita mix.  The report stated that the complainant provided a description of the suspect but the responding Lufkin Police Department Officers were unable to locate the suspect and that the incident was referred for further investigation.

Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle - 2900 Block Freeman Street: A complainant reported to Lufkin Police Department that between the hours of 4:00 A.M. and 7:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, an unidentified actor(s) stole his vehicle, a 1996 Nissan light truck, from the driveway of his residence, located in the 2900 block of Freeman Street.  According to the report, the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer located the vehicle abandoned in a wooded area near Herty Park and discovered that stereo equipment had been removed from the vehicle.  The report stated that a Lufkin Police Department Crime Scene Technician processed the vehicle for fingerprints and other evidence and that the incident was referred for further investigation.
