NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A Mississippi woman is being treated for critical injuries after a car hit her as she was crossing South Street in Nacogdoches, according to police.
The report stated Barbara Marie Mitchell, 35, of Jackson, Miss., was crossing South Street from a hotel to a restaurant with a man. The man had crossed the road, but a northbound driver, Jason Alan Galle, 36, of Baytown, struck Mitchell.
Mitchell was transported to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital and underwent surgery and was listed in critical condition early Friday morning.
The roadway was closed down intermittently for about three hours during the investigation.
