Lufkin boys golf advances to state

Lufkin Boys golf team advances to the 2010 State Golf Championships after beating Tyler Lee by eight stokes at the Regional Tournament in Waco, Texas on Friday.  The pack are the Region 2 Champs.   Shooting a two day total of 608 they outlasted Tyler Lee who shot 616.  Lead by Sam Fidone who shot 72.  Will Griffin 75, Michael Phillips 76, Tyler Dunbar  80, Freshman Josh Lewis shot in the 80's.  Lufkin Panthers advance to the State tournament In Austin, TX.  at Jimmy Clay Golf Course.  Play will begin May 13th-14th.
