LUFKIN, TX (KTRE)- Investigators are searching for the person responsible for the Sunday morning shooting of a Lufkin teenager.

Police said the investigation is active, however, they are limiting the amount of information they are releasing to avoid jeopardizing their case.

They confirm that they have "persons of interest" in shooting that occurred on the 2200 block of N. Raguet Street.

Police said multiple gunshots were fired shortly before 2 a.m. after an argument between two groups of people erupted. One of the gunshots struck a 17-year-old boy in the neck. Police said that juvenile has since been treated and released from a Lufkin hospital.

Police said it looks as though the shots were fired from a black car as they sped away from the argument. The case is under investigation.  They encourage anyone with information about the shooting to call police or Crime Stoppers at 936-639-TIPS (8477).

No arrests have been made.  We'll have continuing coverage of this story here at KTRE.com and on the East Texas News.
