LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) – If you're afraid to find out how much you owe in library late fees, this could help make it easier.

Until May 10th, Kurth Memorial Library in Lufkin is cutting all fines and fees in half.

Library staff say, folks who owe money for overdue books can't check out new ones, and end up staying away.

To take advantage of a clean slate...just visit the front desk during regular library hours...during the next two weeks.
