LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Warrants have been issued for two men accused in the shooting injury of a Lufkin teenager.

Omar Almaguer, 19, and Sergio Nathanial Fuentes, 18, will be charged with aggravated assault. They have not yet been arrested.

According to the police report, the shooting victim, Ulesis Ranguel, 17, said he has had problems with Almaguer and Fuentes dating back to when he was in school.

According to an complaint affidavit, the victim was shot shortly before 2 a.m. on the 2200 block of N. Raguet Street. A witness said he and Ranguel were sitting on the porch of a residence when they saw two vehicles coming toward the residence. Both were aware of the people in the car and the witness picked up a baseball bat and approached the vehicles, where the witness exchanged words with Fuentes and Almaguer.

The witness said Sergio fired several shots from a car before leaving the residence. None hit the witness, but one hit Ranguel in the neck.

Ranguel has since been treated and released from a hospital.
