LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin's 14th Annual Cinco de Mayo Festival at Kiwanis Park is set to kick off May 1.
There will be live music with bands representing all forms of popular Mexican music. There will be boxing, children games and rides and a dunking booth.
The funds raised through this event will be donated as scholarships for college-bound students, non-profit community organizations, and to families experiencing a catastrophic event.

KTRE/Telemundo will be at the park near the Gazebo from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the new Telemundo station. KTRE/Telemundo will also be holding a drawing every hour for a new antenna and one new television set.
