LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRE) - The Polk County Sheriff's Office has charged two teenagers in connection to a 2009 fire which destroyed a church.

Chief Deputy Byron Lyons said Sunny Adams, 18, of Shepherd, was arrested Tuesday night and Herman Kinder, 18, of San Jacinto County, was arrested Thursday morning in San Jacinto County.

Both are charged with arson with intent to destroy a place of worship.

Lyons said a Crime Stoppers tip linked the men to the fire, at Corvelle Church on Yarborough Loop in southwest Polk County, on June 26.
