NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) – According to the Nacogdoches Police Department, while attempting to clear a large fighting crowd at Taco Bell, a series of shots were fired from behind Wendy's near the 100 block of Feazell Street, early Sunday morning.
Police say no one was injured.
Officers as well as the Stephen F. Austin Campus Police Department responded to the scene at around 1:30 a.m.
Upon arriving, officers found numerous shell casings.
As of Sunday, no arrests have been made but police say the responsible parties could face a deadly conduct charge.
Police say they are still investigating the incident.
The report is according to Sgt. Chasen Partin, of the Nacogdoches Police Department.
According to officers, there was a separate incident taking place at or near an SFA campus parking garage.
At approximately 2:25 am officers observed suspicious activity on the first floor ramp of the Village parking garage. Officer then identified five suspects in and around a vehicle. During the investigation, officers found a medicine pill bottle containing dangerous drugs and a pistol in the trunk of the car. One person was arrested and charged with place where weapons prohibited and possession of a dangerous drug, two suspects were arrested and charged with possession of a dangerous drug, and two suspects were arrested and charged with public intoxication.
Those arrested were Lavare D. Holmes, 22, of Dallas, Anthony Gaines, 22, of Garland, Antoine M. Harrison, 19, of Dallas, Anthony DeWayne Harris, 19, of Garland, and Dequindra McFail, 22, of Dallas.
