FROM THE EAST TEXAS WEATHER CENTER (KTRE) - After a hot and dry week, we will see a cold front move into the Texas Forest Country on Friday evening. With limited moisture to work with, the chances for showers and thunderstorms is rather low.
Behind the front, we will see a drop in the temperatures and the humidity on Saturday. Temperatures will drop from the 90's into the 80's thanks to a northeasterly wind.
If you have outdoor plans this weekend, the weather will cooperate, with fairly mild and seasonable temperatures expected for this time in early May.
Mother's Day will see increasing clouds and a slight increase in the humidity.
