CUSHING, TX (KTRE) – Thursday night, hundreds from Nacogdoches County joined hands in prayer to mark today's National Prayer Observance.
The faithful packed Jerry Whitaker stadium in Cushing, to pray for the nation, our country's leaders, loved ones, and their community.
They came to pray, until something happens.
"I'm here to pray until something happens because I think that life can be better for a whole lot of people if they just pray," said 11-year-old Peyton Ivy.
Organizers say the community was very involved in making this night a success.
Those who came to pray and worship hope to carry on this message "that prayer is here to stay".
