LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police and emergency crews worked for more than an hour, clearing the remains of a wreck that occurred in downtown Lufkin Tuesday afternoon, bringing traffic on Calder Square to a standstill.

Lufkin Police Officer Hector Rizarro said Juan Venegas, 28, driving a black Tahoe lost control of his vehicle while suffering a seizure. His vehicle hit two parked cars in an Angelina Street parking lot before crossing the street and hitting two more parked cars behind Yates Broadcasting.

Venegas was reportedly taken by ambulance to a Lufkin hospital, where he was last listed in stable condition.

Nobody was in any of the parked cars and Venegas was the only person injured.
